Developing Leaders and Communicators Hosted by the Reading Toastmasters Club

A division of Toastmasters International, this club aims to provide educational sessions to interested parties and encourage the development and cultivation of communication and leadership skills. This meeting is open to anyone interested regardless of age, position, or experience. With a focus on language skills and public speaking, this organization is appropriate for anyone who wants to improve their professionalism and presence. This meeting will be held on Monday October 1 and Monday October 15 at 7 pm. They meet at Alvernia University in the Upland Center Community Room.

BNI Networking Luncheon

For a more casual networking-geared event, consider the BNI-Networking Luncheon. Lunch will be provided by the hosts, and guests are encouraged to bring along business cards as well as a “30-second commercial.” This event provides an opportunity to engage with other professionals, make lasting connections, and enjoy the company of other entrepreneurs in a casual setting. Tickets are free, but you must reserve in advance. BNI will be holding this event on Thursday October 4 from 11:30 am – 1 pm at the Centerville Diner in Lancaster.

Measure What Matters Workshop

ASSETS, a non-profit organization dedicated to the prospect of changing the community through business, hosts this workshop on Thursday October 4 from 5:30 pm – 7 pm at their office located on 100 South Queen Street in Lancaster. The goal of this workshop is to identify what kinds of business strategies, models, and attitudes can help enact positive change. The hosts provide an opportunity to assess the current impact of business and business owners, and the event will offer networking opportunities for like-minded individuals.

Rockstar Connect Networking Event

There is absolutely no admission fee for this event, and finger foods will be complimentary, courtesy of the hosting venue. The event boasts that there will be no speakers or forced purchases of business materials, just the opportunity to casually mingle with other professionals and craft meaningful working and personal relationships. Welcoming anyone from the Greater Philadelphia area, this event is bound to facilitate meaningful business connections. It will be held on Thursday October 11 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Altana Rooftop Lounge in Lancaster.

The Kingdom Entrepreneurs Movement

For Christian business owners and entrepreneurs, this event hosts a unique opportunity. From 7:30 am – 9:30 am on Monday October 15, ten business leaders will give presentations on leadership and share advice pertaining to how you to improve on your business. The members of this group share the belief that they desire to present their faith through their business and lead by example, and this event will provide educational insights as well as networking opportunities.
